A ferrocement rain water tank 1988 | I also made a tank 2002 using roofsheeting as form but haven't had time to publish

I have lived in rural situations without mains electricity and centrally piped water, over 10 yrs in Sweden and over 2 years in East Africa. The practical experiences I have gained included organic agriculture (mainly vegetables), 12 Volt electric systems supplied by windgenerator and solar panels. Solar water heating. Woodburning for cooking, baking centralheating. Though it´s not sustainable technology, some use of kerosene ("parafin") for pressure lamps and refrigerator can make life easier. Some experience with Biogas, Steam engines and Producer gas.
I intend to put up the material I have, but it will take some time. If you have any questions about the above areas but don't see anything here yet, send me a mail: my different mail addresses": I was looking for "steam engines" and I didn't see anything about that on your site. Then I´ll tell you about my experiences, or try to incorporate that subject with higher priority into my site.
